Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of PyHires, a recruitment and job marketplace operated by Acelestre, S.L.U. (“PyHires”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing or using PyHires, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the platform.

1. About PyHires

PyHires is an online platform focused on Python-related employment opportunities in Europe.

The platform allows:

  • candidates to create professional profiles, discover opportunities and apply for jobs; and
  • companies to publish job opportunities, manage applications and candidates, and use recruitment-related services offered through the platform.

Candidate access is free. Companies may be charged for job postings, subscriptions or other services according to the prices displayed on the platform at the time of purchase.

PyHires does not charge a hiring commission.

PyHires is a technology platform and does not act as an employer, recruitment agency or party to any employment relationship between candidates and companies unless expressly agreed otherwise.

2. Operator and Contact

PyHires is operated by:

Acelestre, S.L.U.
NIF: B05655899
Calle Albahaca 2
18006 Granada, Spain

Registered with the Mercantile Registry of Granada, Section 8, Sheet GR-65714, 1st Entry.

Website: https://pyhires.com

PyHires is a commercial brand and platform operated by Acelestre, S.L.U.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create and use a PyHires account.

By using PyHires, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into these Terms.

If you use PyHires on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to represent that organisation and to bind it to these Terms.

4. Accounts

Some PyHires features require an account.

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate and current information;
  • keeping your account credentials confidential;
  • maintaining the security of your account;
  • all activity carried out through your account; and
  • notifying PyHires promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must not impersonate another person or organisation or create an account using false or misleading information.

Unless PyHires expressly permits otherwise, each individual user must maintain only one personal account.

Company accounts may be used by authorised representatives of the relevant company. The company is responsible for the activity of users acting on its behalf.

5. Candidate Profiles

Candidates may create a professional profile containing information relevant to their professional background, skills, experience and employment preferences.

Candidate profiles are private. A company can only see a candidate's profile after that candidate applies to one of its offers.

When a candidate applies for a job, the relevant company may access the candidate's full PyHires profile, including the candidate's email address, for recruitment purposes.

Candidates are responsible for ensuring that the information in their profile is accurate and appropriate.

PyHires does not require candidates to upload a CV file. The professional profile provided through the platform is used as the candidate's principal professional information.

Candidates should not include irrelevant sensitive or confidential information in their profiles.

6. Job Listings

Companies may publish job opportunities through PyHires subject to these Terms.

All jobs published through PyHires must:

  • involve Python as a relevant technology or requirement; and
  • be remote positions.

Companies may edit their job listings after publication.

A job may remain available until a company closes it or, where applicable, until the expiry date configured for that job.

Companies are responsible for ensuring that their job listings are:

  • accurate and not misleading;
  • lawful;
  • genuinely available;
  • free from unlawful discrimination;
  • consistent with applicable employment laws; and
  • sufficiently clear for candidates to understand the opportunity.

PyHires may review, restrict, edit, suspend or remove a job listing where it reasonably believes that the listing violates these Terms, applicable law or the integrity of the platform.

7. Applications and Candidate Contact

A company may access a candidate's profile and email address when that candidate applies for the company's job.

Companies must use candidate information obtained through PyHires only for legitimate recruitment and related purposes.

Companies must not use PyHires to obtain candidate contact information for unrelated marketing, sales, solicitation or other purposes.

PyHires does not permit companies to use the platform to contact candidates privately before those candidates have applied for the relevant opportunity.

Once a candidate applies, the company may contact the candidate regarding the application and recruitment process.

The company is responsible for complying with applicable data protection, employment and recruitment laws when processing candidate information.

8. Matching and Ranking

PyHires may calculate compatibility or “match scores” between candidates and job opportunities using information provided through the platform.

These scores may take into account relevant factors such as professional experience, technical skills, seniority and job preferences.

PyHires may use these scores to:

  • recommend relevant jobs to candidates;
  • rank or prioritise candidates for companies;
  • allow companies to sort or filter candidates by match score; and
  • improve the relevance of the platform.

Match scores are calculated with fixed rules set by PyHires. PyHires does not use artificial intelligence to calculate them or to make hiring decisions.

Companies can set language and region requirements for each vacancy: the languages the role requires and the countries or regions it hires from (anywhere in the world, the European Union only, Europe as a whole, or a list of countries). PyHires compares them with the languages and the country of residence stated in the candidate's profile. A candidate who does not meet them sees a notice but can still apply: these requirements do not block applications. The company sees every candidate who applied, including those who do not meet its requirements, and may filter its applicants by them. Vacancies whose requirements a candidate does not meet may be left out of that candidate's recommendations and match emails. PyHires does not take any automated decision that excludes a candidate from a vacancy; the company decides how to use this information.

Each company is responsible for ensuring that the requirements it sets are lawful, relevant to the role and proportionate, including under applicable equal-treatment and free-movement rules.

Match scores and rankings are assistive tools only. They do not determine whether a candidate will be contacted, interviewed, hired, rejected or otherwise selected.

Companies remain solely responsible for their recruitment and hiring decisions.

Candidates remain responsible for deciding which opportunities to pursue.

9. Company Services, Subscriptions and Payments

Certain PyHires services are paid services for companies.

Prices displayed on the platform at the time of purchase apply to the relevant service.

Unless otherwise stated, displayed prices are exclusive of applicable VAT or other applicable taxes.

PyHires may offer individual job postings and subscription plans.

Further terms on plans, the free trial, refunds and the founding companies programme are set out in Annex A.

Subscription plans may include monthly plans with automatic monthly renewal.

By purchasing a subscription, the company authorises recurring billing for each renewal period until the subscription is cancelled.

Subscriptions may be cancelled through the company account panel.

Cancellation prevents future renewals. The company retains access to the paid subscription until the end of the current paid period, unless the account or service is suspended or terminated under these Terms.

PyHires may change its prices for future purchases or renewal periods, subject to applicable law and any legally required notice.

10. Refunds and Cancellations

Payments for partially used subscription periods and published individual job postings are generally non-refundable.

However, this does not exclude any refund, cancellation or withdrawal right that cannot legally be excluded.

Where PyHires is unable to provide a purchased service due to an error or inability on the part of PyHires to provide that service, PyHires may provide an appropriate refund or other remedy.

Where a service or job listing is removed because the company has violated these Terms or applicable law, the company will generally not be entitled to a refund.

Any refund rights expressly stated by PyHires at the time of purchase will also apply.

Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those rights prevail over this section.

11. Prohibited Use

You must not use PyHires to:

  • publish fake, fraudulent or misleading job opportunities;
  • impersonate another person, company or organisation;
  • provide false or materially misleading information;
  • discriminate unlawfully against candidates;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other users;
  • send spam or unsolicited commercial communications;
  • misuse candidate information;
  • access accounts or information without authorisation;
  • interfere with the security or operation of the platform;
  • upload malware or other malicious code;
  • manipulate match scores, rankings, applications or other platform mechanisms;
  • circumvent platform access or payment mechanisms;
  • scrape, crawl, copy, extract or systematically collect data from PyHires without our prior written permission;
  • use bots or automated systems to copy or collect job listings, candidate profiles, company information, rankings, match scores or other platform data;
  • reproduce, resell or commercially exploit PyHires data or functionality without permission; or
  • use PyHires for any unlawful purpose.

The prohibition on scraping and automated data collection applies regardless of whether the information is publicly visible or accessible through an authenticated account.

12. User Content

Users retain ownership of content and information they submit to PyHires.

By submitting content to PyHires, you grant PyHires a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure and improve the platform and its services.

This licence ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where continued retention or use is necessary for legal, security, dispute-resolution or legitimate operational purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to submit any content you provide to PyHires.

13. Intellectual Property

PyHires and its underlying software, design, branding, interfaces, databases, functionality, text, graphics and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to Acelestre, S.L.U. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of PyHires or its intellectual property to you.

You may use PyHires only for its intended purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or create derivative works from PyHires or its protected components except where expressly permitted by law or by PyHires.

14. Reporting and Content Moderation

PyHires provides a reporting mechanism for users to report job listings or other content that they believe may be illegal, fraudulent, discriminatory, misleading or otherwise contrary to these Terms.

Reports may be submitted using the “Report this offer” functionality available on the platform or by contacting [email protected].

PyHires may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including removing, restricting or suspending content or accounts where appropriate.

Where required by applicable law, PyHires will provide information regarding the outcome of reports and any applicable complaint or appeal mechanisms.

PyHires does not guarantee that every reported item will be removed or that every report will result in enforcement action.

15. Suspension and Termination

PyHires may suspend or terminate an account, restrict access or remove content where it reasonably believes that:

  • these Terms have been violated;
  • applicable law has been violated;
  • the account has been used fraudulently or abusively;
  • the platform or other users are at risk;
  • payment obligations have not been met; or
  • action is reasonably necessary to protect the integrity or security of PyHires.

Where reasonably possible, PyHires will provide notice before taking action.

Immediate action may be taken where necessary to address fraud, security risks, illegal activity or serious violations.

You may stop using PyHires and, where available, delete your account through the platform.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, liability, indemnification and applicable law.

16. Platform Availability and Changes

PyHires aims to maintain a reliable service but does not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free from security vulnerabilities.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party services, security incidents or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

PyHires may modify, update, suspend or discontinue features or parts of the platform where reasonably necessary.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice of material changes.

17. Third-Party Services and Links

PyHires may use third-party services or contain links to third-party websites.

Third-party services are subject to their own terms and policies.

PyHires is not responsible for the content, availability, security or practices of third-party websites or services that it does not control.

18. Employment Relationship

PyHires does not employ candidates or companies through the platform.

PyHires does not guarantee that:

  • a job is suitable for a particular candidate;
  • a job remains available;
  • a company will review or respond to an application;
  • a candidate will be interviewed;
  • a candidate will be hired;
  • information provided by another user is accurate or complete; or
  • a recruitment process will result in an employment relationship.

Any employment relationship, contractor relationship or other professional relationship is established directly between the relevant parties.

Companies are solely responsible for their job offers, recruitment processes, hiring decisions, employment conditions and compliance with applicable law.

19. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PyHires provides the platform on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability or current status of all user-generated content.

Match scores, rankings, recommendations and other platform outputs are provided as decision-support tools and may not always accurately reflect a candidate's suitability or a job's relevance.

PyHires does not guarantee any particular employment, recruitment, financial or commercial outcome from using the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PyHires will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data or goodwill arising from or related to the use of the platform.

PyHires is not responsible for employment decisions, recruitment processes, contracts, communications or disputes between candidates and companies.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

For consumers, mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, companies agree to indemnify and hold harmless PyHires and Acelestre, S.L.U. from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • unlawful, fraudulent or misleading job listings;
  • content submitted by the company that infringes third-party rights;
  • unlawful processing or use of candidate information by the company;
  • the company's recruitment activities or employment relationships;
  • the company's violation of these Terms; or
  • the company's violation of applicable law.

This indemnification does not apply to the extent that a claim results from PyHires' own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of its legal obligations.

22. Privacy

The processing of personal data through PyHires is governed by the PyHires Privacy Policy.

By using PyHires, you acknowledge that your personal data may be processed as described in that policy.

Candidates should understand that when they apply for a job, their profile information is made available to the relevant company for recruitment purposes, including their email address.

Companies are responsible for their own processing of candidate information after receiving it through PyHires and must comply with applicable data protection laws.

23. Changes to These Terms

PyHires may update these Terms when reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to the platform, services, business model, technology or applicable law.

When changes are material, PyHires may provide reasonable notice through the platform or other appropriate means.

The updated Terms will apply from the effective date stated in the relevant notice.

If you do not agree with a material change, you should stop using the affected services and, where applicable, cancel your account or subscription.

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.

For disputes involving companies or other business users acting in a professional or commercial capacity, the parties agree, to the extent legally permitted, to submit to the competent courts of Granada, Spain.

If mandatory consumer protection laws provide a different jurisdiction or other mandatory rights, those provisions will prevail.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally possible.

The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

26. No Waiver

If PyHires does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Legal Notice and any additional terms expressly applicable to particular PyHires services, constitute the agreement between you and PyHires concerning your use of the platform.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law will prevail.

Annex A. Company plans, trial and founding programme

This Annex supplements section 9 and section 10 and applies to every company that buys or receives a paid plan or service on PyHires.

A.1 Business customers only

Company plans and services are offered only to professionals and businesses acting in the course of their trade or profession (B2B). They are not offered to consumers.

A.2 Prices and taxes

Prices are shown without VAT. VAT or any other applicable tax is added where it applies.

A.3 Free trial

A company that has never had a subscription may be offered a free trial of the Starter plan, currently 14 days. The length of the trial may change for future purchases. Each company can use a free trial only once, and a company that has already had a subscription, including through another company with the same tax ID, is not eligible.

A payment card is collected when the trial starts. Unless the company cancels before the trial ends, the trial turns automatically into a paid monthly subscription and the card is charged. Our payment provider, Stripe, notifies the company before the first charge.

The company can also start paying before the trial ends. In that case the unused trial days are discounted from the first invoice, in proportion to the price of the plan.

A.4 Single Job

  • Single Job is a one-time payment for one job listing.
  • The listing is published for 30 days.
  • The purchased credit can be used to publish a listing for up to 365 days after the purchase.
  • A listing can be extended for another 30 days by paying for another Single Job. A company can also buy several Single Jobs to have several listings published at the same time.
  • Single Job is not sold to a company that has an active plan (including a trial or a free plan granted under the founding programme), because its listings are already covered by that plan. A company on a plan can add extra job slots instead.

A.5 Add-ons

  • Add-ons can be added to a Starter or Business subscription: an extra seat at €15 per month and an extra job slot at €29 per month (excluding VAT).
  • Add-ons are not available during the free trial.
  • A company on a free plan granted under the founding programme that subscribes to a plan before the free plan ends can add up to 3 extra seats and 5 extra job slots at no charge until the free plan ends. From then on they are charged under the conditions described in A.9 and, once those conditions end, at the normal price.
  • When a company adds an add-on, the corresponding amount for the rest of the current billing period is charged immediately, and the add-on is then included in each renewal.
  • When a company removes an add-on, it keeps it until the end of the period it has already paid for and it is not charged again from the next renewal. No credit or refund is given for the part of the period already paid.

A.6 Changing or cancelling a plan

  • Cancelling prevents future renewals. The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid.
  • Moving up from Starter to Business takes effect immediately and the remaining part of the current period is charged at that moment.
  • Moving down from Business to Starter takes effect at the next renewal. The company keeps Business until then, no credit or refund is given, and from the renewal the Starter plan and its limits apply: team members above the seats of the new plan become inactive and job listings above its limit are paused. A scheduled downgrade can be cancelled before the renewal.

A.7 Failed payments

If a payment fails, the company's published job listings are paused until the payment succeeds, and they are restored automatically once it does. If the payment retries are exhausted, the subscription is cancelled.

A.8 Refunds

  • In general, PyHires does not refund payments. When a plan is cancelled, it continues until the end of the period already paid, and removing an add-on does not generate a credit or refund.
  • PyHires does refund duplicate charges and charges made in error by PyHires.
  • This does not affect any right that cannot legally be excluded, as set out in section 10.
  • If a company opens a dispute or chargeback with its bank without contacting us first at [email protected], PyHires may suspend the account while the dispute is resolved.

A.9 Founding companies programme

  • The programme is by invitation only and places are limited. PyHires may close it at any time; this does not affect free plans already granted.
  • A company that redeems an invitation code receives the Starter plan free of charge for the period stated in the invitation or code (3 months by default), with no payment card required and with the limits of the Starter plan.
  • A company can redeem only one code.
  • A company that subscribes to a plan before the free period ends gets the promotional conditions shown on its Billing page when it subscribes. These conditions may change for companies that subscribe later, and they are not available once the free period has ended.
  • If the company does not subscribe to a plan, its job listings stop being displayed when the free period ends (they are not deleted) until it buys a plan.
  • PyHires sends email reminders before the free period ends, 14 days and 3 days before.
  • The free trial described in A.3 is not available after the free plan.
